Looking for a crazy optical illusion... this is sure one of the craziest we've seen. Totally straight lines, but it sure looks like this wacky checkerboard is bulging right off the screen. If you don't believe it, just hold a peice of paper up to test the straightness of all the lines.
Freaky Spiral
| Stare at this moving spiral optical illusion for about 30 seconds, then look at your hand, or a pen. You'll see it start to move and distort whatever object you look at. This is another one of our favorite optical illusions! In fact it's so great, that it took me a long time to actually publish this article about this spiral illusion because I've been staring into the spiral and am totally mesmorized! Wavy Lines Optical Illusion

| This is another one that I find to be pretty incredible. The animated image above shows three cylinders that appear to move up and down, and as they move up and down, it looks like they are moving to the right. This effect is enhanced if you are looking at the cylinders from the side. Yes, they are moving up and down, but they are moving perfectly in a verticl line. They aren't moving to the right even one pixel! |
